The football programs at Fairview and Mead continue to put up big numbers and wins.

In Week 7, Ki Ellison threw for five touchdowns as the Colorado Preps Media Poll’s Class 5A No. 6 Knights put up their most points in two years in a 68-49 win over Fort Collins. They’re now 7-0.

Mead, ranked fourth in 3A, hammered Timnath 41-7 for its third win by more than 30 points this season. The Mavericks are 6-0.

Teams from the Boulder, Broomfield and Longmont areas went 7-5 in Week 7 through Friday night. Centaurus, Prospect Ridge Academy, Lyons and Justice played later on Saturday.

Thursday

Fairview 68, Fort Collins 49: The Knights (7-0, 2-0 5A Front Range North) scored their most points since beating Lakewood 69-24 on Sept. 1, 2022.

Toray Davis caught four TDs and Jordan Rechel totaled another four (three rushing, one receiving) as Fairview’s seven straight wins to start a season are the most since 2014. Its first and only loss that season came in the 5A state quarterfinals.

Davis finished with a career-high 164 receiving yards and had another 54 on the ground. Rechel had 119 receiving yards and 93 rushing to go along with an interception.

Ryder Villarreal and Brock Kolstad each had led the team with 15 tackles.

Fairview is at Brighton on Friday.

Mead 41, Timnath 7: Sophomore Noah Chapala ran for 172 yards and three touchdowns on just 14 carries for the Mavericks (6-0, 1-0 3A North 2), who won their first six games of the season for the first time since 2019.

Quarterback Christian Hiner threw a touchdown to Brycen Gissel and ran for another in the win. Carter Woods added his first career rushing TD.

Mead is home against Greeley Central on Thursday.

Broomfield 61, Adams City 0: Quarterback Darien Jackson threw for two touchdowns, and six different players scored on the ground for the 4A No. 6 Eagles (6-1, 2-0 4A North 2).

Elliot Less had a receiving and rushing TD on just two offensive touches. Mason Smiley had a pick-six.

The shutout came six days after beating Longmont 59-0.

Boulder 23, Mountain Range 6: Andre Drapeau and Myles Robbins rushed for scores in the second half as the Panthers (3-4, 2-0 5A Metro North) won their second game in a row.

Hanging onto a 10-6 lead, Asher Baruch kicked two field goals before Robbins rushed for a 25-yard score in the final 5:33.

Boulder is home against Northglenn on Thursday.

Monarch 16, Loveland 13: Malakhi Payne had the go-ahead touchdown in the fourth quarter as the Coyotes (5-2, 2-0 4A North 1) stayed atop their league standings.

Payne also had an interception, while Nate Hart booted through all three of his field goal attempts. Archie Jahn finished with 111 all-purpose yards (94 receiving, 17 rushing).

The Coyotes are home against Greeley West on Friday.

Frederick 52, Silver Creek 12: Quarterback Gavin Ishmael injured his throwing shoulder on a tackle-breaking TD run on the team’s first offensive possession. But the Golden Eagles (5-2, 2-0 4A North 1) still rolled past the Raptors (4-3, 1-1) without him.

Backup QB Preston Kissinger threw for three touchdowns — two to Burke Eismann.

Nolan Gaccetta and David Tan scored for Silver Creek.

The Raptors are at Loveland on Thursday, while Frederick is at Poudre.

Grand Junction Central 49, Skyline 14: Miley Davis returned a kickoff for a touchdown in the loss for the Falcons (0-7, 0-2 4A North 2).

Jamal Gilliam caught his first career touchdown from QB Servando Morales.

Skyline will face Longmont at Everly-Montgomery Field on Friday.

Windsor 56, Niwot 0: The Cougars (0-6, 0-1 3A North 2) will look for their first win of the season at Timnath on Thursday.

Friday

Erie 50, Vista PEAK Prep 0: The Tigers (4-2, 1-0 5A Front Range South) won their fourth straight game.

They’ll travel to league-leading Mullen (2-5, 2-0) on Friday.

Mullen 28, Legacy 27: Tyler Anderson rushed for two touchdowns, though Legacy (2-5, 1-1 5A Front Range South) lost by a single point for the second time this season.

On Sept. 20, the Lightning lost to Broomfield, 14-13.

Legacy is home against Rangeview on Friday.

Riverdale Ridge 56, Longmont 0: The Trojans (1-6, 0-2 4A North 2) were shut out for the second straight week.

They lost 59-0 to Broomfield in Week 6.
