In Loving Memory

Sarah N. Van Hosen, a cherished resident of Pleasant Hill for over six decades, passed away peacefully on April 20, 2025, surrounded by her loving family.

Sarah’s life was a testament to unwavering love, resilience, and a spirited sense of humor that brightened every room she entered. She was preceded in death by her loving best friend and husband, Robert Van Hosen.

She is survived by her devoted daughter, Michelle Hall (Larry) of Martinez; granddaughters Tyler Nohr (Shawn) of Martinez, Ryann Kuiper (Kevin) of Martinez, Kyle Jackson (Travis) of Fairfield and Kory Lamet of New York.

Also, seven great-grandchildren: Dilynn, Cannon, Austin, Cooper, Hunter, Cameron, and Logan.

For over 50 years, Sarah was a beloved member of the Contra Costa Country Club. Whether playing golf with the Divoteers or engaging in lively games of gin rummy in the women’s locker room, she formed lasting friendships and brought joy to many with her quick wit and spunky charm.

Sarah’s legacy is one of unconditional love and steadfast support for her family, of whom she was immensely proud.

A celebration of Sarah’s life will be held on Friday, May 23, at 1:00 p.m. at the Contra Costa Country Club, 801 Golf Club Road, Pleasant Hill. Family and friends are warmly invited to join in honoring her remarkable life.
