No victims or injuries were reported as a result of the fire, and it did not make its way to the interior of the home.
LAFAYETTE
Woman arrested after hit-and-run on Waneka Parkway
A woman was arrested after police say she intentionally hit a man with her car and fled the scene in Lafayette last week.
Melinda Christine Dolloff, 43, was arrested Wednesday, nine days after police say she intentionally drove her car over a curb, striking a man. The man said he was walking his dog at his usual spot about 6:30 p.m. July 1 when he tripped while crossing the street. He braced himself on the SUV police say Dolloff was driving, which started an altercation on the east-west stretch of Waneka Parkway.
Police used surveillance footage from a nearby church and gas station to confirm that Dolloff started yelling at the man after he leaned on her vehicle.
The man was in a parking lot when Dolloff drove the vehicle over a curb to hit him, the footage shows, according to the affidavit.
Officers wrote Dolloff exhibited an intent to hit him by driving over the curb while turning her vehicle away from the roadway.
Police said Dolloff immediately drove off, leaving the scene of the incident.
Dolloff is in custody at the Boulder County Jail with bond set at $10,000, according to online court records. She is expected to be charged with vehicular assault, first-degree assault, menacing and failure to remain at the scene of an accident involving serious bodily injury. She is scheduled for a return filing of charges hearing in Boulder County District Court on July 15.
Dolloff previously pleaded guilty to a charge of felony misdemeanor with a simulated weapon in 2021 in Boulder County.
