Readers respond to Question of the Week:

100 days in, how is Trump 2.0 doing?

Trump/Biden 100 days

Odd that a similar question was never asked of Biden, as the public witnessed the cover-up and shielding of President Biden’s rapid mental decline.

Maybe, a more reasonable question should be, compare Trump’s 100 days to the Democrats’ 100 days.

Delighted with his progress so far

Donald Trump is working around the clock to solve many problems in America. Compared to our last president, that alone is an accomplishment.

He has solved the invasion of illegals at the southern border. He has attempted to tackle the extreme anti-semitic demonstrations in our elite colleges. He has found billions of dollars in waste in our federal government. He has been a peacemaker, not a war monger, in two wars ... Ukraine and Gaza.

He has encouraged billions of dollars in new investment in our country. Trump may not succeed in everything he attempts to do, especially when the Democrats have chosen to resist him at every turn, but I am very happy these first 100 days that I voted for Trump to be president.

Trump’s promise

My main concern with Trump is his promise that we would “never have to vote again.”

Trump is turning this country into a dictatorship so that he can play at being president as long as he wants, trying out one thing after another.

I doubt there’s much planning involved other than anything that appeals to Trump’s ego. I truly believe that MAGA means “Make America Go Away.”

I disapprove of the majority of Trump’s policies. Musk is not an elected official and has illegally closed many agencies, the most egregious being USAID.

I definitely am against his tariff policy, as it is just a tax on the ordinary taxpayers. Reductions can be achieved without the chainsaw approach. Yes, I think a president should pay attention to the polls and shift direction accordingly.
