Paula Hildebrand, a lifelong resident of Woodland, passed away peacefully just days before her 77th birthday.
Known for her sharp wit, colorful spirit and deep love of family and friends. Paula leaves behind a life full of stories and strength.
She is survived by her children, Kendra Renteria, Tammy Nygard (Espen), Melissa Lanier (Deryk), and Danny Moulton. As well as her sisters, Christine Longo and Wendy Hildebrand and eight grandchildren; Michelle, Emily, Joseph, Chase, Mary-Margaret, Simon, Hunter and Gus, as well as four great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Gus Hildebrand and Mary Margaret Mezger-Hildebrand, as well as her brothers, Spencer Hildebrand and Scott Hildebrand.
Paula Worked for the California Treasurer's Office and was a dedicated AA sponsor for decades, building a wide and loving circle of friends through her recovery work.
She loved gardening, lunches with her girlfriends, and outlaw country music- especially Willie Nelson.
A celebration of Paula's life will be held on May 1 from 11am to 3pm at Lone Wulff Farms, 26810 Road 97D, Davis, Ca. Lunch will be served and all that knew her are welcome to come share some memories.
