Resident of San Jose

Shelley Dawn Nakagawa was born on October 31, 1959 to the late Tom and Mae Nakagawa. Survived and loved by her sisters, Sharon, Susan, Sandy, nephews Brandon and Daniel, husband Mike Tervooren, Auntie Amy and Uncle Mike Worrell, Auntie Barbara and her late husband Uncle Walter Uyeda, former husband Bob Williams, many cousins, relatives, neighbors and friends. Shelley was a jokester with a great sense of humor, and kept us laughing until the end. She was smart, kind, caring, generous, and took pride in being vigilant with her personal finances.

Shelley was freakishly strong and enjoyed doing yardwork with her buddy and neighbor, Mike Moshfegh.

She also enjoyed travelling and while living in England with her former husband, visited many European countries.

She also enjoyed many, many trips to Hawaii and Reno. Shelley enjoyed watching sports, especially the SF Giants, Golden State Warriors and the San Jose Sharks. She loved music, vegetarian cuisine, and a good laugh with family and friends.

Now Shelley is reunited with her best friend and beloved fur baby, Koko.

A heartfelt thank you to “Auntie” Emma, Shelley’s caregiver, the nursing staff at Redwood Hospice, Adanaly, CNA, and Shelley’s good friends and great neighbors Mike, Audrey and Candi.

In death as in life, Shelley never wanted any special attention or recognition, and requested that no service be held.
