John William Ebell Jr. died peacefully in Woodland, CA on January 18, 2025, at the age of 77. John (Bill) was born on June 22, 1947. He was preceded in death by his parents John and Helen Ebell and his three sisters Jenette, Sally, and Mary. He graduated from Woodland High School in 1966. He attended college at Oregon Technical Institute in Klamath Falls. He later transferred to Fresno State college where he met his wife Linda Ebell. They had one son, John. Bill was drafted into the army for two years and served one year in the Vietnam war. After military duty, he went to work at the family’s business Woodland Ice and Bottling Works (Pepsi Cola company), taking over as president until selling the business.
Bill later became a private investor. He enjoyed traveling the world, gardening, hunting, scuba diving, and fishing. He belonged to the Lions club, Elks club, American Legion, and was a Mason.
He will be remembered for his sense of humor, generosity, and clever antics. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Woodland Elks, Reveille Lions, or American Legion.
