Clara Belle (Walker) Rains, age 95, passed away peaceful on Jan. 9, 2025, at her home. She was born on Oct. 31, 1929, in Wilmot, AR, to the late Archie and Sallie Walker and has been a long-time resident of Hacienda Heights, CA. Clara was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and friend. She was a dedicated elementary school teacher and a cherished member of the Hacienda Heights Baptist Church, serving as a Sunday School and Bible Study teacher as well as adding her voice to the choir. She enjoyed many years of travel and square-dancing with her husband.
She is preceded in death by her beloved husband of 56 years, Grover Rains; her son, Roger Rains; and her grandson, Christopher Rains. She is survived by her son, Lyle Rains (& wife Linda Soo); her daughter, Laura Dietsche (& husband Thomas); her daughter-in law, Vicki Rains; as well as her grandsons, David Dietsche and Daniel Dietsche.
Clara's life was a testament to faith, love, and support.
She leaves behind a legacy of devotion to her family, her church, and her community. Her memory will be forever cherished by her loved ones, friends, and all those who had the privilege of knowing her.
May Clara rest in God’s presence and peace, reunited with her husband, son, and grandson in their eternal home.
