Want to visit the landmark Queen Mary in Long Beach Harbor without having to pay any admission fees?

You can Tuesday, when the ship is offering free admission from 3 to 8 p.m. for “Community Art Day” to let folks see its new art gallery.

You need to make a free online reservation to get in, and I’d arrive early. The exhibit is open until 6 p.m., according to a news release.

And, while you’re there, note that the “Meet Me at the Mary” Tuesday happy hour will be taking place in the Art Deco Observation Bar with live vintage music for dancing until 8 p.m. No cover charge.

While you’re driving into the parking lot, look over and see where the former adjacent tourist village has been demolished.

It’s being replaced by a new amphitheater that will hopefully become the Long Beach Symphony’s new summer home one of these days.

Parking costs a discounted $10 with validation.
