Cynthia Ann (Conarroe) Campbell died July 15, 2024 in Longmont after a brave four-year fight with cancer.

She was born in Simla, Colo. on January 28, 1954 to Percy and Carolyn Conarroe. Conarroes moved to Louisville, Colo. in 1965 and Cynthia graduated Louisville High School in 1972, the last graduating class of the home of the Pirates.

She met her husband, Mike, while working at the Fort Collins Triangle Review. They were married in 1980.

She graduated from Colorado State University in 1982.

She worked as reporter for the Conarroe family's weekly newspapers, the Lafayette News and Louisville Times, in the 1970s, then rejoined the family newspapers as editor in 1990. She worked there until 1998, after which she became a full-time mom and raised her daughter, Mar y Cate, and son, Patrick.

Cynthia was known by her extended family as being strong willed and fiercely independent. 

She enjoyed shopping vintage items at the second hand stores and frequented the Eastern Plains of Colorado where she retraced and researched her ancestors' homesteading histor y in Deer Trail, Fondis, Elbert, Simla and Calhan. She loved reconnecting with childhood friends in those towns, and watched her mailbox for her favorite newspaper, the weekly Ranchland News.

She is sur vived by her husband, Mike Campbell; daughter, Mar y Cate Campbell; son, Patrick Campbell (Lindsay); two grandsons and two granddaughters; brothers Doug Conarroe (Dana Cof field) of Lafayette, Colo. and Dave Conarroe (Judy) of Colorado Springs.

Private ser vices will be held with inurnment at Coal Creek Memorial Cemeter y in Louisville.
