All-America forward Madison Booker scored 19 points and the No. 1 Texas women held off Mississippi 70-63 on Friday night in the Southeastern Conference Tournament quarterfinals in Greenville, S.C.

The Longhorns (30-2) stretched their winning streak to 14 games.

Texas, the tournament’s No. 2 seed after losing a coin flip to South Carolina, will play No. 9 LSU in today’s semifinals.

The Longhorns led by 15 early in the third quarter, but they could not pull away and Kirsten Deans began to get hot from beyond the arc, helping the Rebels get within two with 4 1/2 minutes left.

Texas outscored Mississippi 10-5 to close the game.

Deans finished with 20 points for the Rebels (20-10).

No. 5 South Carolina 84, Vanderbilt 63: Chloe Kitts had 25 points and 10 rebounds and the top-seeded Gamecocks held off a furious second-half rally from the Commodores to win in the SEC Tournament quarterfinals in Greenville, S.C.

South Carolina (28-3), which has won five straight, shot 67% from the field in the first half to build a 48-23 lead.

But the Commodores cut the lead to five with 4:22 left. The Gamecocks regrouped and outscored Vanderbilt 16-0 the rest of the way.

Vanderbilt (22-10) got 20 points from Mikayla Blakes.

No. 6 Notre Dame 73, California 64: Hannah Hidalgo scored 25 points and the Fighting Irish beat the Golden Bears in the quarterfinals of the Atlantic Coast Conference Tournament in Greensboro, N.C.

Second-seeded Notre Dame (26-4), the tournament’s reigning champion. trailed by six midway through the third quarter.

Lulu Twidale scored 16 for seventh-seeded Cal (25-8).

No. 7 N.C. State 73, Georgia Tech 72: Aziaha James hit two free throws with 7.1 seconds left as the top-seeded Wolfpack (25-5) beat the Yellow Jackets (22-10) in the quarterfinals of the ACC Tournament in Greensboro,N.C.

Tonie Morgan and Kara Dunn each scored 21 points for Georgia Tech.

No. 8 TCU 69, Colorado 62: Hailey Van Lith scored 24 pointsand the Horned Frogs held on for a victory over the Buffaloes in the Big 12 Tournament quarterfinals in Kansas City, Mo.

TCU (29-3) won its eighth straight overall.

Jade Masogayo had 22 points for the No. 9 seed Buffaloes (20-12).

No. 9 LSU 101, Florida 87: Aneesah Morrow scored 36 points on 15-of-21 shooting while hauling in 14 rebounds as the Tigers defeated the Gators (16-17) in the SEC Tournament quarterfinals.

Mikaylah Williams chipped in with 16 points and eight assists for LSU (28-4).

No. 10 Oklahoma 69, No. 12 Kentucky 65: Raegan Beers had 20 points and 11 rebounds and the Sooners beat the Wildcats in an SEC Tournament quarterfinal in Greenville, S.C.

Oklahoma (25-6) has won nine straight.

Georgia Amoore scored 29 points for Kentucky (22-7).

MEN

Illinois 88, No. 18 Purdue 80: Kasparas Jakucionis hit a 3-pointer with 40 seconds left to put the Illini ahead for good as they rallied past the visiting Boilermakers.

Illinois (20-11, 12-8 Big Ten) trailed 63-53 with 11:34 to go, but outscored Purdue 13-1 in the final two minutes to win its third in a row.

Will Riley led Illinois with 22 points. Tre White added 20 points and nine rebounds.

Trey Kaufman-Renn scored 29 points for Purdue (21-10, 13-7).

No. 16 Memphis 84, South Florida 68: PJ Haggerty and Dain Dainja scored 20 points apiece and the host Tigers (26-5, 16-2) won the outright American Athletic Conference regular-season title, taking over in the second half to defeat the Bulls (13-18, 6-12).
