Joseph De Francisco M.D. FACS, long-time resident of Pasadena peacefully passed away on October 3, 2024, leaving a legacy of love and friendship.

He was born in Ohio but raised and schooled in Burbank, CA. After graduation from USC Medical School, he was drafted into the US Army as a Captain serving in Korea.

When his service ended, he returned to California to complete residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology at Queen of Angels Hospital.

Joseph served as a prominent and well-respected physician in the San Gabriel Valley for 40 years establishing the Obstetrics departments at Alhambra and San Gabriel Hospitals. He chaired many committees along with being department head at Garfield Hospital in Monterey Park. He delivered over 3000 babies in his career.

He is survived by his wife Carlotta of 58 years; his 3 sons, daughters-in-law and grandchildren, siblings, nieces and nephews.

The Celebration of Life will be held at Holy Family Church in South Pasadena on Wednesday, November 13 at 11:00 AM.
