This weekend, catch these five short films as a part of Boulder International Film Festival’s “Adventure Shorts 1,” screening at 2:30 p.m. at Grace Commons Church, 1820 15th St., Boulder, where Jen Arndt, Jim Aikman and Jamie Logan will appear in person. Or watch the program at 7:15 p.m. Saturday at Longmont Museum’s Stewart Auditorium, 400 Quail Road, Longmont, where Jim Aikman and Jamie Logan will appear in person.
‘Never Too Old’

At one time, Libby James (now 87) held more running records than Flo-Jo and Usain Bolt combined, yet you’ve likely never heard of her. She is considered the grandmother of women’s competitive running, despite not having started running until she was 35. Currently, she holds six American records and, in 2012, was the highest point graded runner in the world. Directed by Stash Wislocki and Patty J. Arndt.
‘All in or Nothing’

Matthew Fairbrother pushes his body to the limit as he enduro bike-packs the New Zealand Mountain Bike Rally. While all other participants opted for the standard boat, helicopter, and 4-by-4 transport between stages, Matt went all in —fully self-supported, just himself, two wheels and a lot of chocolate milk. Follow Matthew’s grueling six days as he attempts to cross the finish line first. Directed by Gordon Duff.
‘Keep it Burning’

Pakistan’s Karakorum is the wildest mountain range in the world. One of the spectacular mountains around the Baltoro glacier is the Trango “Nameless Tower,” one of the world’s biggest free-standing rock towers. Edu Marín, with his brother Alex and father Novato, attempts the second free ascent of the Eternal Flame route. Subtitled. Directed by Guillaume Broust.

Renowned climber Jamie Logan tackled some of the most challenging alpine and rock climbs of the 60s and 70s when she went by the name “Jim.” Now in her 70s, Jamie reflects on her life and her incredible career in the vertical world. Directed by Jim Aikman.
‘Miles Beyond Remission’
