


LOS ANGELES — Police asked the public for help Sunday finding a woman who allegedly fled on foot from a two-vehicle crash in the Vermont Vista area of Los Angeles that resulted in the death of a 25-year-old man.
The crash was reported at 9:20 p.m. Saturday, according to the Los Angeles Fire Department.
On Sunday, police said a woman in her 30s was driving southbound on Figueroa Street in a Porsche Panamera when the vehicle collided with the victim’s vehicle, which was going eastbound on 91st Street.
The victim was identified as Emerson Noel Escobar Gonzalez, according to the Los Angeles Police Department. He was trapped in the wreckage and pronounced dead at the scene, according to the LAFD.
Police said the driver abandoned the Porsche and fled on foot in an unknown direction.
