Jessie Lea Hall, 92 of Paragon, Indiana, passed peacefully from her earthly life on Thursday, February 9, 2023, at 5:20 am in the comfort of her home and with loved ones by her side. She was the last surviving of nine children born to the late Lawrence Montgomery Roberts and Jessie Ray (Davis) Lantz. Jessie was born in Roswell, New Mexico, on Thursday, March 6, 1930.

She moved to Morgan County in 2006 from California to live with her daughter and was a member of the New Life Christian Church in Paragon. She devoted her life to her family and other children as a teacher and nanny, a title she earned proudly. Jessie also spent many years teaching Sunday school to countless children and young adults. In her spare time, she took pleasure in painting, reading, traveling, and doing arts and crafts with children.

She was blessed with a large and loving family.

Jessie’s family honored her wishes to be cremated and there will be no public service at this time.
