Claudette was a devoted Mom, Grandma and Friend.

Passed away on March 10, 2025 in Gilroy, CA. If you were part of her circle, found family or real she would do anything for you. Opinionated, strong and never cared what others thought. She follows her beloved parents into heaven Kenneth Chateau and Edna Pearl Chateau (Wilson). She is survived by her two children Ninette Freitas (Sayers) and Joseph Sayers and her grandchildren, Kyle, Monika, Alex, Robert,Tyler and Xander.

She was a proud military wife, a career window clerk for the Santa Clara Post Office. She was raised in Ogdensburg NY and graduated from OFA. She shared her love of the river with her children and made as many visits to “home” as she could. OFA and General Brown reunions will never be the same.

There will be two services: In California Chapel Service Saturday, April 5, 2025 at 2:00 P.M. at Lima Campagna Alameda Mission Chapel 600 S. Second Street San Jose.

New York: Graveside Interment September 6, 2025 at 12:00 P.M. at Ogdensburg Cemetery.
