Resident of Antioch It is with a heavy heart that I share the unexpected passing of my beautiful mother Nancy Marie Perez on February 13, 2025. She left us while being held by those who loved her the most.<br><br>Nancy was born on February 20, 1960. The daughter of Raymond and Annette (Durand) Chabot, Nancy grew up in Richmond, CA. with brothers Roger, David, her sister Sandra, and an extended Chabot family of Uncles, Aunts and cousins with deep French Canadian roots. She attended St. David’s and Downer Elementary and graduated from Harry Ells High in 1978 and also attended Contra Costa Community College.<br><br>Nancy worked for the City of Richmond for 20 years in the Public Works and Personnel Departments where she developed many lifelong friendships. She also worked many years at the Holy Rosary Catholic School in the office and as a teacher’s aide.<br><br>While working at the City of Richmond is where she met my father, Don Perez. In 1985 she married the love of her life Don, and they lived for a short time in Pinole then moved to Antioch, CA. where they raised our family.<br><br>She loved my father, my brother Julian and I in such a way that many are never fortunate enough to experience. We are incredibly grateful to her for making sure we always felt such true unconditional love. She also cherished all her extended family and many lifelong friendships, and I know she will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing the beauty of her friendship. We will all miss her incredible humor and roaring laughter that would always light up any room. All our cousins and her many nieces and nephews will always remember Aunt Nancy’s many birthday and special pool parties, which were always planned and given with such love and care by her.<br><br>Mom was a kind, genuine, gentle soul. She was selfless, generous and her love knew no bounds. Her warmth and light will continue to shine in all the lives she touched.<br><br>Thank you to everyone for your kind words, prayers, and support during this incredibly difficult time.<br><br>Nancy is survived by her devoted husband and love of her life Don Perez, her daughter Veronica Perez (Sean) and son Julian Perez (Deyala), brother Roger Chabot (Vivian) and sister Sandra Padilla (David) and many nieces and nephews. Nancy was preceded in death by her parents, Raymond and Annette Chabot, brother David Chabot (Kathy) and her beloved Grand-mere Delina Durand.<br><br>Memorial services will be held April 10, 2025 at 11 am at Holy Cross Cemetery and Funeral Center located at 2200 East 18th Street Antioch, CA A Celebration of Life will be held afterwards<div></div><br>
