It is an action-packed January again in Anaheim.
The new year typically brings a rush of adrenaline and the roar of engines to Angel Stadium with Monster Jam and Monster Energy AMA Supercross, both using the field for their high-octane fun.
With baseball still in its offseason, the floor of the stadium is covered in thousands of tons of dirt for several weeks.
Monster Jam rumbled into town over the weekend for the first of three stops.
The souped-up trucks on giant wheels tore up the dirt track racing and performing stunts, but before the show started, fans got up close to the mechanical monsters and their drivers during a pit party.
Up next, Supercross flies into the stadium on Saturday to launch its 2025 season. The off-road racing series will return for a second round on Jan. 25. The dirt track is built differently for each visit, launching the Supercross riders and their bikes into the air.
Supercross has its own FanFest events, with the opportunity to see the teams up close and watch as they practice. On Saturday, practice starts at 10 a.m., qualifying rounds at 11 a.m., opening ceremonies at 4:30 and the main racing event at 5 p.m.
