One person is dead and another injured after a late Monday afternoon shooting outside a Hobart apartment complex, police said.

The shooting took place approximately 5 p.m. in the 300 block of North Lake Park Avenue, in the Haven Apartments, the Hobart Police Department released on its social media page.

One of the victims is in an area hospital for treatment, the release said; the deceased’s name will be released pending family notification.
