Resident of Los Gatos
Larry Craig Lynch of Los Gatos, California passed away on April 17, 2025 at the age of 86 years. He was born in Phoenix, Arizona on September 15, 1938 to Alvah and Mary Lynch.
Following formative years in Arizona, Michigan, and Pennsylvania, Larry joined the Air Force 1956-60, during which time his daughter Cindy was born.
His next decade involved electronics projects at Motorola, Dalmo Victor, and Fairchild, including development of the Apollo missions S-Band transponder and telecommunications for the first moon rover.
As a manufacturing engineer and executive he was on the founding teams of Atari and Worlds of Wonder, and a key executive at Quality Technologies and Leapfrog, establishing and managing manufacturing plants in Europe and Asia during his career. He loved designing and inventing and was awarded many patents along the way.
Prior to retirement he provided manufacturing consulting and networking services through his company Manufacturers Plus.
Though he lived across and traveled throughout the world Larry’s heart was in Los Gatos where, in retirement, he was very active for decades in American Legion, The Forty & Eight, and other veteran-support organizations and projects.
Larry was a most generous and humble person, who lived life to the fullest and had many friends. He will be remembered discussing classic cars and quietly chuckling over a tumbler of Jameson –on the rocks.
Larry is survived by his wife of nearly fifty years, Diane, now of Belmont, CA; daughter Cynthia (Michael) Noble of Yakima, WA; sister Nancy McDonnell of Yorba Linda, CA; granddaughters Janelle (Joshua) Dougherty of Seattle, WA and Sarah (Ryan) Asher of Poulsbo, WA; great-grandchildren Norah Asher, Jane Asher, and Oliver Dougherty; nieces Carol (Chris) Clark, Melinda Mc- Donnell, and Kathleen (Isaac) Scott; and great-nephew Wyatt Scott. He is predeceased by his brother Carlos Gray, and sister Rosemary Enloe.
Many thanks to the wonderful staff of Los Gatos Senior Living and Pathways Hospice for the comfort and care provided to Larry. A memorial service will be held on June 14, 2025, 1:00pm at Oak Hill Memorial Park Chapel of Roses, 300 Curtner Ave, San Jose, CA.
