Passed away peacefully on October 29, 2024, he was 91 years old. John was born December 23, 1932 in St.

Paul MN. He attended Cretin High School, spent his senior year and graduated from Harding High School.

Shortly after graduating he joined the United States Marine Corps and fought in the Korean Conflict. His service to our country was always a source of pride for him with extra pride in having been a Marine.

After getting out of the Marine Corps he attended Macalester College and the University of MN. His career began with IBM and culminated with his presidency of Braemar Corporation in Burnsville, MN which he ultimately sold to the Carlisle Corporation in Ohio.

In 1986 he married his beloved wife of 38 years, Sandra. They moved to Southwest FL in 1991 where they enjoyed the sun, beaches and lots of golf.

He was predeceased by his parents Walter and Nora Walker, his brother Walt, and sister Helen. He is survived by his loving wife, Sandra, his daughter, Mary Helen Gill, his sons, Kurt (Andrea), Scott, and Kyle (Jill Yankovic), 8 grandchildren, 2 great grandchildren and nieces and nephews.

He will be remembered for his sense of humor, strength of spirit, and sense of fairness. He will be missed.
