Hageman is greeted by young attendee Leo Von Braun upon arriving at a firefighter appreciation luncheon hosted by a Kinneloa Canyon Association resident in Kinneloa Mesa, one of the neighborhoods affected by the Eaton fire.
A community affected by the Eaton fire gathered Saturday to thank the firefighters that fought the devastating blaze in January.
The Kinneloa Canyon Association HOA held an appreciation luncheon with fresh tacos for first responders.
“Many of us have settled back in, while others are still in the process of getting things organized,” HOA member Deedee Mueller said in a message to fellow members. “All in all, we were very fortunate to have made it through such a devastating event — thanks in large part to the bravery of the firefighters who worked tirelessly to save our homes.”
While the fire hit Altadena the hardest, Kinneloa Mesa residents were also displaced and lost homes in the blaze.
