CHILE: Dana and Linda Arbaugh of The Villages of San Jose enjoyed a Christmas holiday cruise to South America, which included a stop in Santiago and in Puerto Chacabuco, Chile, pictured. One of the highlights of the trip, Linda says, “was being in Buenos Aires the day Argentina won the World Cup and seeing the locals going wild with joy.”

TRAVEL TIPS: “Pack clothes for both warm and cold weather. Cape Horn can be cold and windy. In Santiago, be sure to take the cable car ride to see Madonna de Santiago and also the 45-second elevator ride to the 1,000-foot top of the tallest building in all of South America, the Gran Torre Santiago.”
