Gov. Gretchen Whitmer recently announced three business expansions across the state of Michigan, including AJG Aerospace of Independence Township.

AJG Aerospace plans to lease and renovate a 120,000-square-foot facility in Independence Township to expand its manufacturing capabilities and house the corporate headquarters.

The investment is expected to result in capital investment of more than $33 million and create 125 new jobs with the support of the Michigan Strategic Fund through a $1 million Michigan Business Development Program performance-based grant, according to a news release.

“We appreciate the engagement and support from the Michigan Economic Development Corporation. They worked with AJG Aerospace to create a win/win scenario as we embark on building a world-class aerospace company in Michigan,” said Andrew Greenlee, Chairman of AJG Aerospace.
