WFD determines vegetation fire to be suspicious

Earlier this week, the Woodland Fire Department responded to a vegetation fire on Harry Lorenzo Drive between East Gibson Road and Van Zee Drive, near an abandoned home and open field.
According to the Facebook post, crews quickly contained the fire on Monday afternoon, preventing it from spreading further into the neighborhood. They determined that, due to the circumstances and location of the fire, it was suspicious.
The Fire Department is asking for the community’s help if they witnessed anything unusual related to the fire or have video footage of the initial stages.
