On February 22, 2023, Ronald Dale Fornengo, of Walnut Creek, California, passed away peacefully at his home, at the age of 89. Ronald was born in Berkeley, California, and attended primary and secondary schools there. He earned a Bachelor’s degree from the University of California at Berkeley.

Ron was preceded in death by his father Bartolomeo (Bert) Fornengo, his mother Giacinta ( Jessie) Audo Fornengo, and his sister Darlene Fornengo Favier. He is survived by his children: Cori Nelson of Victoria, Australia, and her children Lindsey, Hilary, and Michael; Ronald John Nelson and his two sons, of Victoria, British Columbia, Canada and his two sons Hayden and Ben; Dayna Nelson of San Francisco, California; and his brother Robert J. Fornengo, and daughters Jennifer and Joelle.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday, April 13, 2023, at 11:00 a.m., at St. Anne’s Catholic Church, 1600 Rossmoor Parkway, Walnut Creek, CA. In lieu of flowers please donate to a charity of your choice.
