June Eloise Yoder, a 62-year resident of Capistrano Beach and San Clemente, passed peacefully in her home on January 30, 2025, after a long and fulfilling life. June was born in Los Angeles on July 8, 1929, to Robert John Hall and Edwine (Sanders) Hall. June and her brother Robbie were raised in Alhambra. She met the love of her life, Paul Allen Yoder, at Whittier College in the Madrigal Choir in the Fall of 1949. June and Paul were married on July 21, 1951, in Arcadia and moved their young growing family to San Clemente in the summer of 1963.
After a short career as a teacher, June retired to focus on raising her family. She loved organizing and providing vacations for the entire extended family including several trips to Kona Village in Hawaii. After tragically losing her husband, Paul in 1991, she initiated her own building project, singlehandedly designing and completing an authentic log home in Lake Arrowhead to host her children and grandchildren. She also enjoyed sharing her passion for the theatre by taking her children and grandchildren to The Old Globe in San Diego every summer.
June was predeceased by her husband Paul, son David, and daughter Jill Marie (lost shortly after birth). She is survived by her children, Paul Robert, Robert James, James David, and daughter Mary Jane. She was exceptionally proud and cherished her 14 grandchildren and many great grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, we ask that you make donations to the Old Globe, San Diego (https://donate.theoldglobe.org/2025) or Casa Romantica (https://www.casaromantica.org).
June will be interned at Rose Hills Memorial Park (Whittier). A Celebration of Life will be held at her San Clemente home, on Tuesday, February 18th beginning at 3:00PM. To RSVP and for more information please email juneyodermemorial@gmail.com.
