The Yolo Transit District is seeking community input on BeeLine, a new on-demand transit service that will offer local transportation options in Woodland.
In an effort to ensure the new service meets the needs of the community, Yolo Transit District (YoloTD) is asking for input on the proposed service hours, peak time vehicles, pricing and service zone.
According to a press release from YoloTD, the Board of Directors is scheduled to consider the approval of the BeeLine service plan on Monday, June 12 at 6 p.m. Community members and stakeholders are encouraged to share their feedback before this date.
Proposed BeeLine service for Woodland:
• Service Hours — The schedule aims to provide convenient transportation options throughout the week. The proposed service hours are: Monday to Thursday — 7:00 a.m.-7:00 p.m. Friday — 7:00 a.m.-11:00 p.m. Saturday — 9:00 a.m.-11:00 p.m. Sunday — 8:00 a.m.-7:00 p.m.
• Peak Time Vehicles — BeeLine will operate four vehicles during peak hours (busiest hours with high traffic volume) in an attempt to ensure minimal wait times and maximize accessibility for riders. This is achieved by: decreasing detours and allowing shorter travel times, allowing for more passengers, increasing capacity and allowing for more Woodland residents to access public transit due to the expanded service area.
• Fair Pricing — The BeeLine service will be $3 for adults while youth and senior riders can enjoy a discounted fare of $1.50.
• Wide Service Zone — BeeLine offers a large service area in Woodland, helping customers reach more destinations from their doorstep reliably and comfortably. For a map of the potential service area, visit https://yolobus.com/beeline/.
