Genisys Credit Union’s Genius Checking has been named the Top Yielding Account in the Nation by Kilinger.
The personal finance magazine awarded the title based on the accounts impressive annual percentage yield (APY) of 6.75% and its debit reward points offered on purchases.
“With inflation impacting everyone’s budget, Genisys is fortunate to be in a position where we can give back to our members,” Jackie Buchanan, president and CEO of Genisys Credit Union said, in a news release.
The Genius Checking account is a high-yield, personal checking account that pays cash dividends on account balances up to $7,500 and debit reward points on purchases. The account requirements are simple: no initial deposit or minimum balance requirement, enroll in e-statements, and use your Genisys Debit Mastercard ten times a month on purchases of $5 or more, excluding ATM transactions.
“Genius Checking increases our members’ saving power on everyday purchases to help make the most of their money,” Buchanan said.
The credit union paid out millions in annual dividends and members redeemed 296 million debit reward points in 2023 alone. Their Rewards Debit Mastercard, allows members to enjoy items such as travel, merchandise, gift cards, and more using points.
