Resident of Union City

Our beloved Scott passed away unexpectedly on July 15, 2022, doing what he loved – jet skiing with his good friends.

Scott was born in La- Grange, Illinois on July 19, 1961, to Dr. William and Roberta Morfeld. He was baptized and confirmed (June 6, 1976) in the Lutheran church. He went to schools in Gearhart, Oregon and Clayton, California, and graduated from San Jose State University in 1986 with a degree in Aeronautical Engineering. Scott worked at United Airlines for 35+ years as an aircraft mechanic and inspector in both Oakland (OAK) and San Francisco, CA (SFO).

Hockey, jet skiing, snowboarding, ATVing, dirt biking, and basically most outdoor activities were Scott’s passions. He also loved a good rock n roll concert!

He was a world traveler but Mt. Hood, Oregon, Pismo Beach, California and Maui, Hawaii were his happy places.

Scott will be greatly missed by his loving parents, Bill, and Roberta; sister, Shelly; brother/best friend/fellow hell-raiser, Ross (Elisa); devoted wife, Dianne; adored children, Casey, and Ryan; nephews, Kyle, Ethan and Gavin; nieces, Mika and Emi; brothers-in-law, Doug and Ken (Nu); sister-in law, Erin (Charles); constant 4-legged companion, Nellie.

Scott was the most dependable, loyal, and loving husband, father, son, brother and friend; his sudden death has a profound effect on all who knew him.
