Xavier Robinson ran for career highs of 107 yards and two touchdowns and host Oklahoma stunned No. 7 Alabama 24-3 on Saturday night to become bowl eligible and deal a severe blow to the Crimson Tide’s chances of receiving a College Football Playoff berth.

Jackson Arnold ran for 131 yards on 25 carries and completed 9 of 11 passes for the Sooners (6-5, 2-5 SEC), who got coach Brent Venables off the hot seat on senior night. It was Oklahoma’s first Southeastern Conference home win after leaving the Big 12 this summer.

Sooners fans rushed the field with 28 seconds remaining, knocking down both goalposts. After the field was cleared, Oklahoma took a knee, and the fans returned to the field to celebrate.

Alabama’s Jalen Milroe, who had been one of the nation’s best players, had his worst game of the season. He completed 11 of 26 passes for 164 yards with three interceptions and gained just seven yards on 15 carries for Alabama (8-3, 4-3, No. 7 CFP).

NO. 3 TEXAS 31, KENTUCKY 14: Quinn Ewers threw two first-half touchdown passes to Gunnar Helm and the host Longhorns beat the Wildcats (4-7, 1-7) to stay tied for first in the Southeastern Conference in Texas’ first year in the league.

Quintrevion Wisner ran for 158 yards and a fourth-quarter touchdown for Texas (10-1, 6-1, No. 3 CFP ). The Longhorns can earn a berth in the SEC title game when they face No. 15 Texas A&M next week as that rivalry resumes after a 12-year break.

NO. 6 NOTRE DAME 49, NO. 18 ARMY 14: Jeremiyah Love scored three touchdowns, tying a school record with his 11th straight game with a rushing TD, and the host Fighting Irish (10-1) ended the Black Knights’ 13-game winning streak with a victory at Yankee Stadium.

Love had TD runs of 68 and 14 yards, finishing with 130 yards on seven carries, and leaped over a defender at the goal line to finish a 6-yard scoring pass from Riley Leonard, who threw for two TDs.

Army quarterback Bryson Daily ran for 139 yards and both touchdowns, giving him 23 on the ground this season for the Black Knights (9-1).

NO. 8 GEORGIA 59, MASSACHUSETTS 21: Carson Beck threw four touchdown passes, Nate Frazier ran for 136 yards with three scores and the host Bulldogs (2-9) overwhelmed the Minutemen as Georgia tried to protect its College Football Playoff hopes.

The Bulldogs (9-2, No. 10 CFP) needed the big offense from Beck and Frazier to rescue a defense that gave up 226 rushing yards.

NO. 10 TENNESSEEE 56, UTEP 0: Nico Iamaleava threw for 209 yards and four touchdowns to lead the host Volunteers to a victory over the Miners.

Tennessee (9-2) overcame a sluggish start to roll up the impressive win. Both teams were scoreless in the first quarter, but Tennessee found its rhythm. Grad student receiver Bru McCoy, who hadn’t caught a touchdown pass this season, had two.

UTEP (2-9) struggled with two missed field goals and three turnovers.

NO. 11 MIAMI 42, WAKE FOREST 14: Cam Ward passed for 280 yards and threw two touchdowns to Jacolby George on another record-breaking day as the host Hurricanes pulled away late to beat the Demon Deacons (4-7, 2-5, ACC).

Miami (10-1, 6-1, No. 8 College Football Playoff) can clinch a berth in the ACC title game with a win at Syracuse next weekend.

Ward broke two more single-season Miami records, both of which had been held for 40 years by Bernie Kosar — most passing yards in a season and most completions in a season.

Ward now has 3,774 yards on 268 completions this season. Kosar threw for 3,642 yards on 262 completions in 1984.

NO. 12 BOISE STATE 17, WYOMING 13: Ashton Jeanty rushed for 169 yards and a touchdown to lead the visiting Broncos to a win over th Cowboys and a berth in the Mountain West Conference title game.

Boise State (10-1 overall, 7-0) will play in the conference championship game for the seventh time in the eight seasons and kept its College Football Playoff hopes alive.

The Broncos finished the Mountain West unbeaten, extended their winning streak to nine games and beat Wyoming (2-9, 2-5) for the eighth straight time.

NO. 13 SMU 33, VIRGINIA 7: Kevin Jennings threw for a career-high 323 yards and two touchdowns and ran for another and the visiting Mustangs clinched a spot in the Atlantic Coast Conference championship game by routing the Cavaliers (5-6, 3-4).

Isaiah Smith and Jared Harrison-Hunte each had two sacks to help SMU (10-1, 7-0, No. 13 CFP) extend its winning streak to eight. The Mustangs would earn an automatic bid into the expanded College Football Playoff by beating 11th-ranked Miami or 17th-ranked Clemson in the ACC title game on Dec. 7.

AUBURN 43, NO. 15 TEXAS A&M 41, 4OT: Payton Thorne hit KeAndre Lambert-Smith for a two-point play in the fourth overtime to lift the host Tigers (5-6, 2-5 SEC) to a victory over the Aggies (8-3, 5-2).

With the teams both getting one play to score from the 3, Texas A&M turned to trickery on its attempt. Receiver Terry Bussey took the direct snap and handed off to quarterback Marcel Reed, who had lined up at receiver. Reed’s pass to Amari Daniels fell incomplete in the end zone.

KANSAS 37, NO. 16 COLORADO 21 >> Devin Neal ran for 207 yards and three touchdowns, caught four passes for 80 yards and another score and led the host Jayhawks (5-6, 4-4) to a victory over the Buffaloes that dealt a big blow to Colorado’s hopes of playing for the Big 12 title.

The Buffaloes (8-3, 6-2 Big 12, No. 16 CFP) need to beat Oklahoma State and get some help to play for a championship in their return to the Big 12.

NO. 21 ARIZONA STATE 28, NO. 14 BYU 23: Cam Skattebo ran for 147 yards and three touchdowns, Sam Leavitt threw for 247 yards and a score and the host Sun Devils (9-2, 6-2 Big 12) held on in the final minutes to beat the Cougars (9-2, 6-2).

Javan Robinson’s interception with 1:04 left looked as if it would close it out for Arizona State, but the Sun Devils stalled on the ensuing offensive drive. Leavitt threw the ball out of bounds on fourth down and Arizona State’s student section — believing the game was over — rushed the field.

Officials ruled that there was one second left and BYU had a shot at the Hail Mary attempt.

It took several minutes to clear fans from the field before Jake Retzlaff’s deep pass fell incomplete.

OREGON ST. 41, NO. 25 WASHINGTON ST. 38: Everett Hayes kicked a 55-yard field goal with 20 seconds left and the host Beavers (5-6) snapped a five-game losing streak with a victory over the Cougars (8-3) in what was essentially this season’s Pac-12 championship.

Ben Gulbranson threw for 294 yards and two touchdowns to lead Oregon State. Trent Walker Jr. caught 12 passes for 136 yards.
