Passed away peacefully after a long illness on February 25, 2025. Retired from the state of Minnesota after many years. He was known for his quiet intelligence, helpful nature and dry sense of humor. Preceded in death by parents, Melvin and Helen Nelsen. Survived by wife of 39 years, Diane Nelsen, daughter Kathryn (Ryan), brother James (Joann), and nieces, nephews and cousins.
