Reverend Daniel Dong-Han Kim passed away peacefully in Buena Park Nursing Center on February 18, 2025 at the age of 90. He is survived by his wife and children and grandchildren.<br><br>He was born in Sinuiju, Korea on July 8, 1934 to father Kim Byung Yong (physician) and mother Han Hong Jae (pharmacist). Grandfather Han Suk Jin was Korea’s first ordained pastor who spread Christianity in Korea and Japan.<br><br>He became an ordained pastor himself and he and his wife Lee Kyung Nyeo were married for 60 years. They raised four children in Los Angeles.<br><br>He leaves behind his children (Kim Hye Jung, Kim Hye Joo, Kim Jin, and Kim Hye Young) and five grandchildren (Andrea, Jay, Richard, Morgane, and Maxine).<br><br>The funeral will be held at Somyung Church (12206 La Mirada Blvd, La Mirada, CA 90638) at 12:00 PM on March 1.
