Age 92 of No. St. Paul &amp; formerly Stillwater, passed away peacefully surrounded by family. Throughout her 71 ½ year marriage to Donald, Arlene continued her education &amp;served as a proud &amp; compassionate registered nurse for 38 years, primarily at St. John’s hospital in Maplewood. Known for her caring demeanor, kind heart, and graceful approach, she was honored as Nurse of the Year from the MN Nurse 4th District in 1991. In retirement Arlene started the Parish Nurse program at Christ Lutheran Church and volunteered with the MN Visiting Nurses Association.<br><br>Survived by children, Don (Mary), Steven (Connie), Kathie (Joe) Fitzenberger &amp; Nancy (Brad) Halfman; grandchildren, Brian Hiles, Jenny (John Buck), Jason (Alison) Frick, Jessica (Ian) Foslien, Andy (Liz) Halfman &amp; Beth Halfman; and 8 great-grandchildren.<br><br>Preceded in death by husband Donald, parents John &amp;Elsie Brenner, sister Janis Speak; infant twin granddaughters, Melissa &amp; Melinda Frick.<br><br>A special Thank you to the staff at Polar Ridge Senior Living and the Hospice team at LifeSpark.<br><br>Funeral Services at 11AM on Thursday, January 30th at Christ Lutheran Church (2475 17th Ave., No. St. Paul) with visitation one hour prior.
