Criminal threats arrest: On April 12 at around 5:36 p.m., officers responded to the Jack in the Box on the 2000 block of East Main Street for a call of a male inside the restaurant threatening to kill employees. On arrival, officers contacted Marshall Bradley, a 58-year-old Woodland resident outside the restaurant, who was identified as the subject making the threats against the employees. Bradley advised he was on parole and was subsequently placed under arrest for criminal threats and a parole violation. During a search incident to arrest, Bradley was found in possession of a controlled substance. Bradley was transported to the Yolo County Jail, where he was booked for violation of parole, criminal threats, and possession of a controlled substance.

Warrant / resisting arrest: On April 15 at around 5:42 a.m., officers were conducting an extra patrol in the downtown corridor near the 200 block of First Street and observed Daniel Markham, a 45-year-old Woodland resident, walking. Markham had warrants for his arrest. When he was told to stop, Markham fled on foot. Officers caught up to Markham and took him into custody. He was booked into the Yolo County Jail for warrants and resisting officers.

HOST made 43 contacts and offered services to 18 individuals and four accepted services. HOST tagged five camps and cleaned up three. HOST conducted 11 downtown patrols.

We recently attended a collaboration meeting with Woodland Memorial Hospital staff. During the meeting, it was noted that our work with hospital staff over the past few months has reduced the impact of homeless individuals disrupting the Emergency Services Department. This is a result of the efforts of our HOST team, our mental health clinicians, and our patrol officers who have worked through some complex issues. We value these partnerships and will continue to foster them.
