Gary Community School Corp. officials have reminded parents and students that in-school classes resume Monday.
A previous school calendar had designated Monday, the first day back after holiday break, as an e-learning day, officials said in a release.
Students will also be required to report to school in-person on Friday, Feb. 14, a date previously marked for e-learning.
The district’s leadership team recently determined that students would not be required to take their electronic devices home during the two-week holiday break.
Officials said the change was made to better support the needs of younger students and alleviate the responsibility of device care over the extended period.
Regular bus transportation also resumes on Monday.
“Our focus is what is best for children, and we are grateful for the support of our school community when critical decisions are required,” said Superintendent Yvonne Stokes.
