Longmont Times-Call athlete of the year Reese Kasper of Niwot and Daily Camera honoree Annalina Torres of Legacy led the way for 37 athletes from the BoCoPreps coverage area who made CHSAA’s girls track all-state teams.

Niwot was led by Kasper (100 hurdles, 300h, 4×200), 4A athlete of the year Addison Ritzenhein (1,600, 3,200, 4×800), throwing champ Jade West (shot put, discus) and 4A coach of the year Maurice Henriques.

Other first teamers for the Cougars included Eliana Henriques (long jump, 4×200, triple jump), who won the LJ and 4×200 and took second in the TJ, as well as Elsza Bergen (4×800), Mahlya Blanks (shot put), Elise Hagen (4×800), Sammie Holliday (4×200), Anna Prok (4×800) and Kate Schmidthuber (4×200). Sienna Wood (triple jump) made the second team.

Torres (200, 400), meanwhile, was a 5A first teamer after placing third and first in her listed events. Elsewhere in the class, Erie had first teamers in Natalie Fetters (shot put), who won her event, and Addison Greenlee (high jump), who took third.

Other 4A first-teamers included Mead’s Rylee Klatt (100, 400) and Holy Family’s Claire Tannehill (100, 200). Tannehill won the 100 and was second in the 200. Klatt was third in the 100 and second in the 400.

In 5A, there were no local second teamers. In 4A, though, Longmont’s Ella Augustaitus (discus), Terra Brubaker (400) and Lea Irvin (100 hurdles) made the cut.

In 3A, Jefferson Academy’s Sierra Buzick (long jump) and Georgia Miller (100 hurdles) were first teamers after each of them placed third in their respective events.

On 3A’s second team were Prospect Ridge’s Kayah Robbins (shot put), Elli Schmachtenberger (LJ) and Peak to Peak’s Chelsey Streifel (pole vault).

In 2A, there were no local first- or second-teamers.

Honorable mentions included Erie’s Tegan Cerveny (shot put), Fairview’s Lillian Graves and Broomfield’s Lila Hansen in 5A; Silver Creek’s Brenley Ludlow (100), Cloe Ruth (800), Niwot’s Avy Beltran (3,200), Jiselle Sales (discus), Mead’s Johanna Williams (shot put) and Longmont’s Maya Pears (100 hurdles) in 4A; PRA’s Emily Jones (800, 1,600) in 3A; and Lyons’ Gianna Boccoluci (100h), Carmen Dumbauld (100), Berit Larson (100h) and Nederland’s River LeMaster (HJ) in 2A.
