In the fight for reproductive freedom, and so much that impacts our daily lives, this election is crucial. Since Trump overturned Roe v. Wade, nearly two dozen states have totally banned abortion or severely restricted it. The impacts of these have been catastrophic.

Even before Roe was overturned, millions of people lacked meaningful access to reproductive health care. But because of one man, this challenge turned into a full-blown crisis. Donald Trump is solely responsible for the wave of abortion bans sweeping the country. The Supreme Court justices he knowingly appointed continue to use their power to take away people’s freedoms. And Trump and his allies want to go even further. Trump and his vice-presidential nominee, JD Vance, have both called for a national abortion ban, which they would do without the help of Congress.

Now, the anti-abortion movement propelling his campaign is even attacking access to contraception and IVF. If Trump is reelected, Project 2025 would add more extremists to our highest courts and his movement will further erode the right for people to control their own bodies.

It’s already bad enough; Anya Cook’s devastating experience in Margate, where she was denied life-saving care due to doctors’ fears of legal repercussions, underscores the dire consequences of restrictive abortion laws. Stories like Anya’s exemplify why we must fight against nationwide abortion bans to ensure women receive the critical medical care they need.

At Men4Choice, we believe no person can be free if a politician or judge has the power to control if, when, or how we build our families.

That means there is no such thing as freedom without reproductive freedom. This is why the mission of Men4Choice has never been more critical. The decision to have an abortion is deeply personal, and should be between a woman and her doctor. Donald Trump should not be involved.

In 2024, though, we can elect a true champion for reproductive freedom. Vice President Kamala Harris has been a tireless advocate for women’s rights and health care access, and we need a champion as president now more than ever.

Since our founding nearly a decade ago, Men4Choice Advocacy has not endorsed a single candidate. That decision is rooted in the simple fact that we are an allyship organization which means we only support the candidates our partners endorse. Today, in light of this existential and historic moment, we’re formally endorsing Kamala Harris for president.

We’re calling on every pro-choice man to join us in this fight. Your voice matters. Your activism is essential. Your financial contributions are crucial. Your vote can be transformative. Though our bodies are not the direct targets of these oppressive laws, our rights, freedoms, and the very fabric of our families are at stake. We, too, are profoundly affected and we must act.

It’s time for all of us to push back on politicians like Donald Trump who want to drag us into the past and have used their power to ban and criminalize abortion. And we do that by helping elect Kamala Harris become the 47th president of the United States and by mobilizing across the country to restore abortion rights and access for all.

Men, this is our moment to stand firm and advocate for justice and freedom. Let’s rally behind Kamala Harris, ensuring our voices contribute to a future where reproductive rights are recognized as fundamental rights, safeguarded and accessible to all. Let’s fight not just for the women in our lives, but for the moral integrity of our nation. Together, we can redefine the landscape of freedom and choice in America.
