NOTES: CU will look to get slumping shooters Jakimovski and Smith back on track. Jakimovski went 4-for-5 from long range at Central Florida on Jan. 8, but in his other eight most recent games he has gone 3-for-34. Smith has been north of .500 for much of the season but has gone 1-for-13 on 3-pointers in his past five games. “Take great shots. Don’t quit shooting just because you’re not shooting well,” Boyle said of his message to both players. “But they’ve got to be great shots. Wide-open shots. You don’t need contested shots when you’re struggling to make shots. You need open shots. Take great shots, defend your (tails) off.” … In conference games, CU ranks 12th in the Big 12 in defensive field goal percentage (.455) and 15th in scoring defense (78.1). The Buffs are averaging a league-most 16.6 turnovers in Big 12 games (15.1 overall). … Also in league games, UA ranks second in the Big 12 in scoring (78.9) and third in 3-point percentage (.353). … The Buffs return home to host Arizona State on Tuesday (7 p.m., ESPN+), featuring the official unveiling of CU’s new Wall of Honor.
