Resident of Albany and El Cerrito

Jose Blason, a longtime resident of Albany and El Cerrito, California, passed away peacefully on June 15, 2025, at the age of 85. He is survived by his loving wife, Maria; his son, Ariel Blason; his sister, Angelica Omran; his nieces, Zulima Davis and Carolina Blason; and a host of other devoted family and friends. He was preceded in death by his daughter Silvia.

Born on November 6, 1939, in Argentina, Jose met his beloved wife there before immigrating to the United States. Hemade the East Bay his home for the past 60 years.

Jose was most proud of his family, cherishing every moment spent with them. He was passionate about soccer, often sharing his enthusiasm for the sport with friends and family. Music was another of his great loves, and he found joy in sharing it with those around him. Jose's warm spirit and dedication to his loved ones made him a cherished friend and neighbor.

A private funeral service was held on June 20 at Sunset View Cemetery in El Cerrito.
