85 Years Old In Loving Memory Reynold Howard "Ray" Garcia passed away peacefully on December 7, 2024, with his children by his side. He was born on November 6, 1939, and grew up in Oakland, CA.

After graduating from Castlemont High School, he served in the Army National Guard before embarking on a career as a mechanic and school bus driver for the City of Newark, CA, where he worked for over 30 years. He took great pride in his work, especially in transporting children to field trips and sporting events, earning the respect and admiration of colleagues for his dedication.

Howard "Ray" was a devoted husband for over 40 years and was predeceased by his wife, Prudence “Ann” Garcia. He was also predeceased by his parents, Charles and Elizabeth Garcia, as well as his siblings and their spouses: Jack (Betty) Garcia, Eleanora (Earl) Mansfield, Rollins (Gloria) Garcia, Lillian (John Sr.) Wallace, Edwin (Barbara) Garcia, Donald Garcia, Dona Garcia, and sister-in-law Marilyn Garcia.

He is survived by his children Greg (Laurie Isaacson) Garcia of Castro Valley, CA; Ken (Stacy) Garcia of Roseville, CA; and Susanne (Jim) Borello of Lincoln, CA. He was a proud and devoted grandfather to Nicholas and Kaitlyn Garcia and Jacob and Joshua Borello. He is also survived by his companion, Irene Davis, and his brother Lowell Sr.

Howard "Ray" had a passion for senior softball, playing on countless teams over 30 years and forming lifelong friendships. He also loved visiting casinos, camping with family and friends, and watching sports. His kindness and generosity will be remembered by all who knew him.

ACelebration of Life will be held on February 18, 2025, at The Blue Goose Event Center in Loomis, CA. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to a charity of choice in Howard "Ray" Garcia's honor.
