Senior guard Brice Williams scored 28 points as visiting Nebraska upset No. 16 Oregon 77-71 on Sunday night.

Williams was 10 for 18 from the field and added seven rebounds and six assists as the Cornhuskers (14-8, 4-7 Big Ten) won their fourth game of the season over a Top 25 opponent. Juwan Gary added 23 points for the Cornhuskers.

Jackson Shelstad scored 16 points to pace Oregon (16-6, 5-6), which has lost three games in a row for the first time all season. Brandon Angel scored 15 points for the Ducks.

NO. 18 ILLINOIS 87, OHIO STATE 79: Will Riley scored 20 of his 24 points in the second half and the host Illini rallied from an 11-point deficit to beat the Buckeyes.

Morez Johnson Jr. had 14 points and 15 rebounds for Illinois (15-7, 7-5 Big Ten).

Devin Royal scored 29 points for Ohio State (13-9, 5-6).

NO. 19 MEMPHIS 86, RICE 83: PJ Haggerty had 26 points and eight rebounds, Tyrese Hunter added 19 points and the visiting Tigers held on to beat the Owls.

Haggerty scored 14 points in the first half as Memphis (18-4, 8-1 American Athletic Conference) took a 44-39 lead into halftime and won a fifth straight game.

Trae Broadnax had 19 points and six assists for Rice (11-11, 2-7).

WOMEN

NO. 2 SOUTH CAROLINA 83, AUBURN 66: Freshman Joyce Edwards scored 18 points and Chloe Kitts added 13 points and nine rebounds as the host Gamecocks (21-1, 9-0 SEC) won their 70th straight game at home with a victory over the Tigers. South Carolina won its 56th consecutive SEC regular-season game and 13th in row over Auburn.

DeYona Gaston scored 31 points to lead the Tigers (11-11, 2-7).

NO. 3 NOTRE DAME 89, LOUISVILLE 71: Hannah Hidalgo scored a season-high 34 points as the visiting Fighting Irish (19-2, 10-0 ACC) pulled away with a victory over the Cardinals. Hidalgo scored 12 of her points in the third quarter.

Roberts led Louisville (15-7, 8-3) with 17. Olivia Cochran scored 14, and Jayda Curry finished with 12.

NO. 5 TEXAS 70, TEXAS A&M 50: Madison Booker had 17 points and a career-high 13 rebounds to lead the visiting Longhorns (22-2, 8-1 SEC) to a victory over the Aggies to extend their winning streak to six games.

Jada Malone and Janae Kent had 12 points each for Texas A&M (10-11, 3-6).

ILLINOIS 66, NO. 14 MARYLAND 65: Genesis Bryant made two free throws with 6.3 seconds left to give the visiting Illini their first-ever victory over the Terrapins.

Illinois (17-5, 7-4 Big Ten) was 0-17 previously against Maryland (17-5, 7-4), whose coach — Brenda Frese — was denied her 600th victory at the school.

Bryant finished with 20 points.

Kaylene Smikle led the Terrapins with 15 points.

MISSISSIPPI 75, NO. 23 VANDERBILT 61: Starr Jacobs shot 12 of 13 from the field to score a season-high 24 points and grabbed 10 rebounds as the visiting Rebels (15-6, 6-3 SEC) knocked off the Commodores. Vandy (18-5, 5-4) was led by Khamil Pierre, who scored 24 points and made three steals.
