With the Grand Opening of the New Home Company’s Bridgeway in May and the preview opening of the models at Serena by Kiper Homes going on now, the summer homebuying season is just starting. Twelve new neighborhoods are now available at River Islands, Northern California’s most successful lifestyle community.
What this means to homebuyers is that there are more choices available to them in the size and style of homes, their location and surrounding amenities, and their pricing. Currently, the offerings range from a 1,447 square foot 3 bedroom home in a community with its own private pool and spa, priced in the $500,000s to a collection of four to six bedroom homes with views out to the San Joaquin River, priced at just over $1.1 million dollars.
Within the River Islands masterplan is another masterplanned community, built by Del Webb for the 55+ active adult buyer. Del Webb has built nine model homes to showcase the variety of living styles available its community. Its Lakeview Club, the private clubhouse and recreation center for the Del Webb community is well underway for a Grand Opening in the late fall. Prices at Del Webb start in the $500,000s.
In the ten years since its opening, River Islands has attracted some of California’s top homebuilders to its San Joaquin River-oriented community. More than 4,000 residences have been sold, primarily to Bay Area residents looking for a great place to put down roots and a home that best suits their needs.
There is such a broad range of home designs, sizes and locations within the community that prospective residents can choose from lakeside living, a location near a park or trail, close to schools or with views of the San Joaquin River.
The community currently offers more than a dozen lakes, offering residents the chance to canoe, kayak and paddleboard. Each park is unique by its design and amenities, from picnic tables to basketball courts to sports fields. Last year, the community opened a large inclusive playground, designed specifically for its location within Champions Fields.
Islanders Field welcomes traveling league baseball play from teams all over the state, and residents are welcome to watch the fun from the 400-seat stadium. Recently Islanders Field served as the host for the annual “Battle of the Badges” between the local police department and fire department.
Three highly-rated K-8 charter schools and River Islands High School have been built within the community, to better serve the families who have relocated from all over the Bay Area.
Plans are well underway for a Town Center, which will offer services, restaurants and shops.
The Redwood Café, one of Modesto’s most popular restaurants, is relocating its iconic buildings to a location already being prepared.
A Tour Guide, with neighborhoods organized by style and price, is available at the Welcome Center, located at 1401 River Islands Parkway. The Welcome Center is open from noon to 5PM.
