Nancy Wyatt passed away two days after her 82nd birthday, on May 4th, 2025, due to complications from Alzheimer's Disease.

She was born May 2, 1943 to Don and Lloyd Kelly, growing up in Peoria, Illinois. As Nancy adored her grandparents, she spent many extended vacations with them at their home in Navoo, Illinois, which, along with her Boulder home, was one of her favorite places on earth. Nancy attended Bradley University, where she was an honors student, a member of Chi Omega sorority, president of Angel Flight and named as Who's Who Among Students by American Universities and Colleges. Having learned to sew early on, Nancy made many of her own clothes and was singled out for being Best Dressed Woman on Campus in 1964. It was also at Bradley that she met her husband, David Wyatt. They married shortly after graduation and moved to Colorado in 1969, first living in Denver, until they completed building their home in Boulder County.

Nancy was a stay-at-home mother to her two active sons including serving as Cub Scout Den Mother, making costumes for school plays, volunteering in the classroom - and somehow survived her boys spending day after day riding motorcycles through the neighborhood, or buzzing the house in airplanes! After raising her sons and following her divorce, she pursued her other passion and became a school teacher. Nancy taught first and second grade at Erie Elementary school from 1989 until her retirement in 2011. She cared deeply for her students and worked tirelessly to help them to succeed.

Nancy was a loving mother and doting/ active grandmother - spending countless hours on the sidelines, pool decks, baseball diamonds and tracks attending various sporting events to cheer on her grandchildren.

Both her grandchildren, and their teammates could always count on 'Mrs Wyatt' having a cooler stocked with cold Gatorade, sandwiches, chips and fresh fruit.

She is survived by her son John (Kelly of Erie) of Boulder, James (Kelly) of Chicago and grandchildren, Jackson, Emma, Lauren and Spencer. She also leaves behind her many teacher friends who she enjoyed seeing as often as possible.

Nancy's family would very much like to thank the amazing, caring staffs of Hollyhock Lane Care Home and Trailwinds Hospice.

They made her last few months beautiful.

In lieu of flowers the family would like to suggest, to continue Nancy's commitment to students in the St Vrain Valley School District, making a donation to Erie Uplink at https://www.erieuplink.org.
