It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Edna Mae Richardson on December 23, 2024, at the age of 92. Edna was born on March 26, 1932 in Frederick, SD, to Sylvia and Jalo Mikkonen.<br><br>Edna met the love of her life and husband, Laddie Richardson, after moving to California at the age of 18.<br><br>Although Edna lived in several different places throughout her life, she moved to Roseville, MN four years ago to be closer to her siblings and her roots.<br><br>Edna was known for her strong will, wit, and love and support for her family and friends. Edna loved dancing, playing cards, sewing, reading, watching her children and grandchildren play sports, watching football, and drinking a nice glass of wine now and then. But most of all, she loved spending time with her family.<br><br>Edna was predeceased by her husband Laddie, her parents Sylvia and Jalo, her brothers Johnny, Spencer and Matt, her sisters Joyce and Shirley, her stepson Gary, and her granddaughter Cara. She is survived by her children Starr Thiesen, Randy Richardson and Todd Richardson, her grandchildren Dawn Nelson, Leanne Bourguignon, Sheena Banks, Beau Thiesen, Matt Richardson, Nick Richardson, Olivia Richardson, Jake Richardson, Julia Richardson, Sean Richardson, great granddaughter Alba Thiesen, brother Gary Mikkonen, sister Barb Mikkonen, and many nieces and nephews.<br><br>A Memorial Service/Celebration of Life will be held in the Spring in Frederick, SD.<div></div><br>
