Age 99, of Mendota Heights (formerly of Winsted, MN), passed away peacefully on January 25th. She was preceded in death by her parents, John "Duke" and Mary (Connolly) Mahon; her brothers, William Mahon and Father Ambrose Mahon; her sisters-in-law, Connie (Bohmer) Mahon and Margaret (Newman) Mahon; and her niece, Betty Lou Mahon and nephew, Martin Mahon.<br><br>She is survived by her brother, Joseph (Mary) Mahon, as well as many nieces, nephews, other relatives, and loving friends.<br><br>Ruth was a dedicated elementary teacher at Highland Park Elementary School in St. Paul, retiring in 1990.<br><br>She loved her work and deeply valued education. Ruth also cherished her family and friends, maintained a strong faith, and had a wonderful sense of humor.
