Cameron Boozer scored 18 points and No. 3 Duke handed another neutral-site loss to fellow blueblood Michigan, knocking off the top-ranked Wolverines 68-63 on Saturday night in a raucous possible Final Four preview in the nation’s capital.

The Wolverines had won 11 straight and replaced Arizona atop the AP Top 25 this week. The now-fourth-ranked Wildcats won at No. 2 Houston earlier Saturday, making it the first time since Feb. 8, 2025, that the teams ranked Nos. 1 and 2 in the poll lost on the same day.

With his dad, former Duke and NBA star Carlos Boozer, in attendance, Cameron Boozer hit a 3-pointer with 1:55 left to give the Blue Devils a 64-58 lead. Isaiah Evans added 14 points for the Blue Devils (25-2), who could return to Capital One Arena in just over a month for the East Regional of the NCAA Tournament.

In the programs’ first meeting in 12 years, Duke improved to 23-8 against Michigan and 7-0 on neutral courts, a series that includes the 1992 national title game. Michigan hasn’t beaten Duke since Dec. 6, 2009 in Ann Arbor.

Yaxel Lendeborg scored 21 points for the Wolverines (25-2), who had not lost since a home defeat by three points to Wisconsin on Jan. 10.

Fans traded chants of “Let’s go Duke!” and “Let’s go Blue!” for the rare must-see matchup in a city starved for meaningful basketball. Tickets for upper-level seats were selling in the $600 range in the hours before the game, with courtside seats upwards of $6,000.

No. 4 Arizona 73, No. 2 Houston 66: Anthony Dell’Orso tied a season high with 22 points and No. 4 Arizona toppled second-ranked Houston 73-66 to move into sole possession of first place in the Big 12 Conference.

Arizona (25-2, 12-2), which opened the season 23-0, won its second straight game following consecutive losses to then-No. 9 Kansas and then- 16th-ranked Texas Tech, that knocked the team out of the No. 1 spot in the AP Top 25 poll.

The Wildcats were down by two before scoring the next 12 points to make it 60-50 with about five minutes remaining. The Cougars missed eight consecutive shots and had three turnovers in that stretch to allow Arizona to build the lead.

Kingston Flemings had 17 points to lead Houston (23-4, 11-3).

Boise State 84, San Jose State 69: Drew Fielder scored 20 points as Boise State beat San Jose State at home.

Andrew Meadow scored 16 points for the Broncos (16-11, 8-8 Mountain West Conference).

Adrian Myers led the Spartans (7-20, 2-14) in scoring, finishing with 23 points and eight rebounds. San Jose State also got 22 points and five assists from Colby Garland.

GOLF

Jacob Bridgeman came out firing at Riviera and never let up until he had the low score of the day at 7-under 64 and a six-shot lead over Rory McIlroy in the Genesis Invitational in Los Angeles.

Bridgeman goes after his first PGA Tour title, and considering the gorgeous weather on tap, he will have a chance to break the longest-standing 72-hole record on the PGA Tour.

Bridgeman was at 19-under 194. Lanny Wadkins won at 20-under 264 in 1985.

McIlroy was cautious on the greens, fast and bumpy late in the afternoon, and closed out his round of 69 with seven straight pars.

No one else was particularly close. Aaron Rai (66) was eight behind. Scottie Scheffler shot a 66, his lowest round at Riviera, and was 14 shots behind.

World No. 1 Jeeno Thitikul birdied her final three holes for a 6-under 66 and a two-stroke lead going into the final round of her home LPGA Thailand tournament.

Thitikul had a 54-hole total of 20-under 196 at the Siam Country Club Old Course. In second place was Hyo Joo Kim after a 65.

The Dallas Cowboys and running back Javonte Williams have agreed on a $24 million, three-year contract, following through on the front office’s pledge that bringing back their leading rusher was a top priority.

The team announced the deal on its website, more than two weeks before free agency opens.

Williams joined the Cowboys on a one-year contract last season after an injury-filled four years on his rookie deal with the Denver Broncos. He had his first 1,000-yard season and finished with 1,201 yards rushing, the most for a Dallas back since two-time rushing champion Ezekiel Elliott’s 1,357 in 2019.

Carlos Alcaraz raced to a 6-2, 6-1 victory over Arthur Fils to win the final of the Qatar Open in just 50 minutes in Doha, Qatar.

The 22-year-old Spanish star extended his winning streak to 12 matches in 2026, 20 days after he became the youngest player to complete a career Grand Slam at the Australian Open — that’s winning all four of the tennis majors.
