Boulder police are investigating a crash that resulted in one person being hospitalized with serious injuries on Saturday.
The crash occurred at 8:12 a.m. Saturday near Arapahoe Avenue and Conestoga Street, according to a release.
Police believe that a 31-year-old man driving a Subaru Crosstrek west on Arapahoe Avenue tried to turn left onto Conestoga Street when he was hit by a 50-year-old man driving a Tesla Model 3 east on Arapahoe Avenue.
After being hit by the Tesla, the Subaru then also hit a power pole on the southeast corner of the intersection.
The driver of the Subaru had to be extricated by Boulder Fire-Rescue personnel and was transported to the hospital with “significant” injuries.
The driver of the Tesla was not injured. There were no passengers in either vehicle.
The investigation into the cause of the crash is ongoing, and Boulder police are looking for additional witnesses and video surveillance in the area that may have captured any footage of the crash.
