Broad Street Blues and BBQ Festival will be held June 25-27 in Griffith. Activities include music, food vendors and fireworks on Friday and Saturday. Admission is free. Stayin’ alive

Music in the trees

A demolition derby will be held at 7 p.m. June 26 at Dirt Oval Route 66 in Joliet. Fireworks will end the evening, which is billed as a salute to front line workers. Tickets are $13-$25.
