A maintenance worker suspected of photographing women and their residences without their permission was arrested on Tuesday, Long Beach Police said.
Detectives from the Special Victims Section suspect Jeremy Gonzalez, 35, of numerous incidents between April 2023 and Dec. 2023 at a residential complex near Ocean Boulevard and Pine Avenue. While doing maintenance work at the complex, Gonzalez photographed women living there without their knowledge, Long Beach Police Officer Eric Stachura said.
A victim, whose name was not released, was the first to notify authorities of the photographs, Stachura said.
After Gonzalez was arrested in Los Angeles on Tuesday, he was booked for 30 counts of invasion of privacy at the Long Beach City Jail and is being held on $300,000 bail.
Detectives believe there may be additional unreported incidents and encourage any possible victims to contact the Sex Crimes Detail at 562-570-7368. Anonymous tips can also be made by calling “LA Crime Stoppers” at 1-800-222-TIPS (8477).
